      <title>Victim Advocate</title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p>Job Summary:</p><p>The Victim Advocate shall be responsible for the provision of services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and their families to include victim assistance, community education, and volunteer management in the designated satellite center</p><p>and relevant service area., including but not limited to the following:</p><p></p><p>Victim Assistance:</p><p>1. Assess client needs and provide services as needed.</p><p>2. Provide individual crisis and support group counseling for victims and their families.</p><p>3. Provide support services for victims and their families to include advocacy, hospital and court accompaniment, information and referral, and resource procurement.</p><p>4. Provide follow-up services to victims and their families.</p><p>5. Provide staff back-up for volunteer victim advocates at night and on weekends on a rotation basis.</p><p>6. Maintain and enter services into database on a daily basis.</p><p>7. Complete necessary reports as scheduled.</p><p></p><p>Volunteer Program</p><p>1. Schedule and manage volunteers.</p><p>2. Provide community education and awareness on the issues of domestic and sexual violence and program services as assigned.</p><p>2. Document all community education and submit reports according to organizational policy.</p><p>3. Assist with the planning and Implementat1on of activities for special awareness months (Child Abuse Prevention, Sexual Assault Awareness, and Domestic Violence Awareness).</p><p>4. Actively distribute brochures, crisis cards, and materials throughout the community</p><p>5. Assist with in-service trainings for professionals</p><p>General Responsibilities</p><p>1. Be familiar with organizational goals and objectives and ensure compliance with required services and documentation.</p><p>2. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures as outlined in the Staff Manual, Program Procedures Manual. and Personnel Policies. Consult supervisor with questions.</p><p>3. Participate in staff development trainings as indicated by supervisor. Summarize information and report accordingly.</p><p>4. Perform administrative functions as appropriate for position and meet organizational deadlines as indicated.</p><p>5. Prepare monthly service/activity reports for the Board of Directors.</p><p>6.       <description><![CDATA[<p><b><span>Job Summary:</span></b><span> The emergency safe shelter is open 24-7 with trained staff.&nbsp; The Shelter Night/Weekend Manager must possess a 2-year degree in Human Services or related work experience in domestic violence. SWM must be available to work on holidays, weekends, weekdays, and overnights. Responsibilities include supervising Night Weekend Workers providing direct and indirect services with integrity, energy, optimism, temperament, non-judgmental attitude, and compassion to all residents. Employees must be able to perform physical tasks of lifting up to 30lbs and climbing up and down stairs. </span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><b><span>Responsibilities </span></b></p><p><span>1.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Provide direct services to victims including crisis intervention and support services.</span></p><p><span>2.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Perform administrative duties, as well as indirect duties including housekeeping, repairs, and cleaning.</span></p><p><span>3.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Possess knowledge of local resources for women and children. </span></p><p><span>4.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Always protect client confidentiality and the security of the shelter by enforcing house policies and guidelines for health and safety purposes. </span></p><p><span>5.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Communicate effectively with residents, staff, volunteers, law enforcement and other agencies in a timely manner. </span></p><p><span>6.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Must be able to supervise and assign the work schedule for all NWR workers to ensure all shifts are covered.</span></p><p><span>7.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Must be available to work at night, weekends, holidays, and overnight. </span></p><p><span>8.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Answer the shelter phone line and crisis line promptly, providing accurate information.</span></p><p><span>9.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></span><span>Adequately document services in Collaborate and daily shift reports; assist residents in completing requests for orders of protection.</span></p><p><span>10.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span>Complete intakes and paperwork within 24 hours of residents entering shelter and follow up with daily goals.</span></p><p><span>11.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></span><span>Assist with processing donations, distribution, storage and inventory. </span></p><p><span>12.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></span><span>Must be able to lift and walk up and down stairs.</span></p><p><span>13.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></span><span>Provide transportation, referrals, court accompaniment, and resources for residents.</span></p><p><span>14.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></span><span>Provide superior communication when interacting with shelter residents utilizing trauma informed care approach.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></p><p><span>15.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></span><span>Facilitate support groups and life skills groups for the women and activity/support groups for the children.</span></p><p><span>16.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span>Must demonstrate excellent listening skills, steady temperament, and effective problem-solving techniques. </span></p><p><span>17.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span>Complete Pee Dee Coalition Volunteer training within 3 months of employment.</span></p><p><span>18.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span>Adhere to agency confidentiality, policies, procedures, and code of ethics.</span></p><p><span>19.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span>Complete Victim Service Provider training within 1 year of employment. </span></p><p><span>20.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and participate in shelter staff meetings as required.</span></p><p><span>21.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Must possess supervisory experience and demonstrate strong leadership skills </span></p><p> </p><p><b><span>Requirements:</span></b><span>.
